Store News: May 4th, 2006
Here's a quick rundown of the latest across sports and gaming:
- Baseball
- 2006 Topps Triple Threads remains hot and continues to deliver great hits including triple auto triple jersey combos and 1 of 1 printing plates.
- 2006 Fleer Greats of the Game has been released and delivered 2 autographs and 2 memorabilia per box.
- Lots of people have had a great time trying packs from our 2001 selection hunting for Pujols and Ichiro RCs. That year is now enhanced with the solidification of Travis Hafner as a major league basher.
- Jim Thome is on fire - his RC is in 1991 Bowman and the 1991 Upper Deck Final Edition Update Set. We have both available in our store.
- Basketball
- 2005/06 Topps First Row has been the late favorite with at least a numbered card per pack and different parallels to chase. We've seen a couple 1 of 1's come out, along with a Dwayne Wade auto.
- 2005/06 Topps Chrome continues to be solid with the rookie refractor chase fueling the fire.
- 2003/04 packs are popular as usual as LeBron makes his playoff push. Look for these rookies to continue upward as Chris Bosh gets better recognition and Darko gets a playing chance next year.
- Football
- 2006 Football is the hands down dominator so far, even with just 2 releases. This year's draft class is much hyped and hopefully we will as solid or better than the 2004 class. Press Pass was first out with 4 autographs per box, and Sage Hit followed up with 5 autos and 1 jersey per box.
- Hockey
- 2005/06 hockey is still very strong with Sidney "The Kid" Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin still strong. For those not that familiar with hockey the 05/6 class will produce many other big name hockey players for years to come. SP Authentic and Ultimate Collection are the 2 highly anticipated releases to look out for.
- Non-Sports
- We've acquired a number of older Magic card collections and now have singles priced into our showcase. Also we've gone through our older Magic packs inventory and repriced them to market. Check out our selection of older as well as all the newer pack releases.
